Dragon Age Origins is a role-playing fantasy game. It was one of the best RPG games in 2009, and in 2012 the music of the game was included in the Forbes list of twelve best soundtracks in all time. Also, Dragon Age Origins received a lot of awards like the “PC game of the year (2009)” from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences or the “Role-Playing/Massively Multiplayer Game of the year 2009”.

The developers describe this installment as a successor of Baldur’s Gate series, though it isn’t based on Dungeons and Dragons. Gameplay

Depending on the race and the class you choose at the beginning, you will begin the game with different origin story. For instance, if you have chosen to be an Elf mage, you will start in the Circle of Magic of Ferelden's, however, if you have chosen an Elf Commoner, you will start in a separated area of the Capital of Ferelden. Those different origins will determinate your background of the gameplay in the main story. It is very interactive since your moral decisions will affect the game development. Feel free of choosing between being good or evil and that decision will affect the whole plot.

The controls of this game may be a little tricky for beginners since you have to be aware of several factors, such as your movement, the camera movement or the fights. For instance, with W and S you move your characters from the top or the bottom of your PC screen, while with A and D you move the camera. Also, you have to control the mouse to decide if running or walking, or to attack or target your enemies.

INSTALLATION

The Ultimate Edition installer for the EA Download Manager (EADM) version of the game was placing the CD-Key in the wrong location in the Windows registry. EADM has been replaced with EA's Origin system and this error has been corrected in the new Origin installer. For those who purchased and installed the Ultimate Edition via EADM, the Patch 1.05 installer will copy that CD-Key into the correct Windows registry location.
